Obiettivi formativi

Learning objectives

The aim of the course is to provide knowledge of the problems and rehabilitative needs of partially edentulous patients in order to provide all the necessary tools to be able, through a correct diagnosis, to choose the ideal treatment plan for the patient. The course is divided into several modules based on the type of treatment (Fixed denture, Fixed denture internship, Removable partial denture, Removable partial denture internship, Implanto-prosthontics, Complete denture internship) and one (Evidence based dentistry) that provides the skills to read critically  the studies in literature, following the scientific evidence. In these, the important aspects related to the morpho-structural and functional situation of the partially edentulous patient in relation to the type of rehabilitation choice will be evaluated and discussed.

Risultati dell'apprendimento attesi

Expected learning outcomes

The student must be able to evaluate the partially edentulous patient in an integral way starting from a humanistic approach, then more strictly medical, taking into consideration the state of the residual oral structures and the functional aspect of the stomatognathic apparatus in order to reach the correct diagnosis. and choose the ideal rehabilitation for the patient himself. Therefore, through practical tests, he must prove to be able to have acquired the required manual skills to be able to move on to patient clinical practice.
